Publication of the Sharri Cheese as GI

Under the support of the French Embassy in Kosovo, French Ministry of Agriculture, the National Institute of Designations of Origin (INAO), the Agricultural Public Expertise Network (ADECIA), Kosovo Institute of Intellectual Property (KsIIP) as well as French experts in the field of agro-environment a new publication on the Sharri Cheese has been prepared and published.

Sharr cheese is a farm product derived from established pastoral and dairy processing practices. It enjoys a strong reputation in Kosovo and in several European countries of the diaspora.

The publication summarizes the content and challenges of the actions carried out on the territory of Sharr Mountain in order to establish the geographical indication intended to protect and enhance this cheese.
